Project Background
Hitachi Automotive Systems (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. was established on February 13, 2012, with a registered capital of 420 million yuan, located in the beautiful Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone of Guangzhou East Automotive City. The company mainly researches, designs, and produces core components such as automotive engine control systems and driving control systems for automobiles and new energy vehicles. The main customers currently include Dongfeng Nissan, Audi, Honda, Changan Ford, Beijing Automotive, etc.
Electricity Overview (Non-linear Load)
According to the information provided by Hitachi Automotive Systems (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. and on-site surveys, the current electrical room has 2 transformers, each with a rated capacity of 1600 kVA, and each transformer is equipped with 2 pure capacitive reactive power compensation devices, with each cabinet having a capacity of 300 kvar. The load carried by the transformers is mainly non-linear loads, which inject various electromagnetic interferences into the power network during the production process, causing serious power quality issues, the most significant of which is harmonics, along with a series of power safety and stability problems caused by harmonics. For example, during the operation of the pure capacitive reactive power compensation device, resonance may occur at a certain time, amplifying the current by 10 to 20 times, and without current-limiting reactors for protection, it often leads to damage to electrical equipment.
Design Plan
For the low-voltage side of each transformer, we design to retrofit with ourIntelligent Filtering Compensation ModuleZBMGD to improve power factor, reduce current, lower reactive power, and improve power quality to ensure the safety of production electricity.

Effect Analysis
Through the operation of theIntelligent Filtering Compensation ModuleZBMGD retrofit device, the system power factor increased from about 0.825 to above 0.988, the system current stabilized around 1335A, and the harmonic current distortion content was below 5%, solving the power quality issues for the user.
Operating Data

Before installation, the current values were A phase 1390A, B phase 1431A, C phase 1407A.

After installation, the current values were A phase 1323A, B phase 1361A, C phase 1335A.

Before installation, the system power factor was around 0.873.

After installation, the system power factor was around 0.98.
