Typical Case of Harmonic Control in Wastewater Treatment Plant (Beijing Gaobeidian Wastewater Treatment Plant)\n\nProject Background: The substation load of a certain wastewater treatment plant is mainly composed of 21 frequency converters, which drive corresponding electric motors. The power distribution is as follows: 7 units of 37kW, 7 units of 2.2kW, and 7 units of 1.5kW. Each three units form a group, totaling 7 groups, with each group consisting of 1 unit of 37kW, 1 unit of 2.2kW, and 1 unit of 1.5kW. The system can operate a maximum of three groups simultaneously. Since all loads are frequency converters, they are a significant source of harmonics, leading to severe harmonic pollution and interference in the system.

Typical Case of Harmonic Control in Sewage Treatment Plant (Beijing Gaobeidian Sewage Treatment Plant)
Project Background:
The load of a certain sewage treatment plant's substation is mainly composed of 21 frequency converters, which drive the corresponding motors. The power distribution is 7 units of 37kW, 7 units of 2.2kW, and 7 units of 1.5kW. Each three units form a group, totaling 7 groups, with each group consisting of 1 unit of 37kW, 1 unit of 2.2kW, and 1 unit of 1.5kW. The system can operate a maximum of three groups simultaneously. Since all loads are frequency converters, they are a significant source of harmonics, leading to severe harmonic pollution and interference in the system, causing it to malfunction and frequently burn out electrical components. To resolve this issue, harmonic control is necessary.
Control Plan:
Based on the information provided by the user, with a maximum of three groups operating simultaneously, the maximum operating power is (37kW + 2.2kW + 1.5kW) × 3 = 122.1 kW, and the harmonic content is approximately 36 kW. Therefore, we choose a 50 kW harmonic control device.
Control Effect:
GoodPower
From the data above, it is evident that the current of the power grid shows significant changes before and after the operation of the active power filter, achieving the goal of eliminating current harmonics and improving power supply voltage.
