Guangdong Zhaolian Textile Co., Ltd. mainly produces high-quality elastic fashionable clothing fabrics made of nylon and polyester, which are widely used in swimwear, underwear, wedding dresses, sportswear, fashion, shoe materials, toys, and more. The products are based domestically and expand overseas, marketing to regions such as Europe, America, Australia, Central and North America, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The transformer in the distribution room of Guangdong Zhaolian Textile Co., Ltd. has a large reactive power demand, and the harmonic distortion is severe. The original compensation cabinet's pure capacitors amplify the harmonics, leading to frequent damage to the devices and posing safety risks in electricity usage. This project adopts the low-voltage intelligent filtering compensation product TSVGGD from Guoda Electric, which is used for reactive power compensation and harmonic treatment in the power system. It features low investment, low active power loss, convenient maintenance and operation, and energy-saving characteristics. After the project was delivered and put into operation, the power factor was maintained above 0.95 at all times. The total harmonic distortion rate of voltage in the system was reduced from 7% to 3.6%, and the total harmonic distortion rate of current was reduced from 12.2% to 2.6%. The absolute value of the 5th harmonic current distortion was reduced from 100A to 13A, effectively filtering out system harmonics while improving power quality. A company in Hengyang, Hunan is a manufacturing enterprise specializing in solar energy storage colloidal batteries and environmentally friendly valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. Its business scope includes lead plates, batteries, chargers, solar power generation systems, chargers, and related equipment. These products are mainly used in solar and wind energy storage systems, UPS backup power communication systems, and automatic control systems. Electricity Overview: The newly built workshop is equipped with 3 transformers. Workshop 3 is equipped with a transformer with a rated capacity of 1250 kVA, Workshop 4 is equipped with a transformer with a rated capacity of 1600 kVA, and Workshop 6 is also equipped with a transformer with a rated capacity of 1600 kVA. The rated voltage is 10kV/0.4kV, and the main loads are heating equipment, rectifying equipment, etc. The natural power factor ranges from 0.3 to 0.75. Due to the low power factor, the utilization rate of the transformers is low, leading to overcurrent, increased noise, and temperature rise in the transformers, and even causing the main circuit breaker to trip. Design Plan: For each transformer, a set of low-voltage automatic reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression device (MSCGD) is designed for the low-voltage side to improve the power factor, reduce system current, and enhance power quality. Effect Analysis: After the low-voltage MSCGD device is put into operation, the system power factor improved from around 0.45 to about 0.92, and the system current decreased from approximately 1250A to 840A, solving the user's power quality issues and saving more than 10% on electricity costs.
